How to look after your wood

At Ash and Blue Woodcraft, we aim to provide your item in the best condition possible, so during the creation process we treat all wood with the following steps :-

  • All wood is either kiln dried or air dried indoors for a minimum of 1 year

  • Woodworm treatment  - not all woodworm are visible so we do this to protect the wood

  • Multiple coats of natural wood oil finish, all food safe

In order to maintain the look and health of the wood we recommend that you lightly sand (400 grit sandpaper) and oil the wood every 2 years using a natural oil and a lint free cloth
