At Ash and Blue Woodcraft, we specialize in creating handcrafted wooden items that reflect individuality and style. Each piece is tailored to our customers' specifications, ensuring a truly unique piece. From beautifully designed chess boards to functional chopping boards and personalized house signs, our products combine the warmth of wood with the modern flair of resin. We take pride in our quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, making every item not just a product, but a work of art that enhances any space.
How it Works
In order for us to fully understand your requirements we have put together the following as a guide to how the process works, some products are easier than others but where an item contains engraving or resin we need to fully understand the requirements.

General Workflow

After you submit an enquiry about a product :-

We will respond within 48 hours where possible to get more details from you regarding wood choice, font choice, resin color etc.​

Certain woods lend themselves to certain products, Oak, Sapele and Walnut are great for house signs but Beech and Ash are not as resilient - we will advise you based on your choices

We agree a set of requirements based on your choices​, and a fixed price is set

We can send photos of the pieces of wood to be used so you get to see the size, grain pattern etc.

For pieces that are to be carved and set with resin, we will create a computer image of what the carving will look like, which can be amended if you are not happy with the layout, the font etc.

Once agreed we will start the crafting - lead times are around 2-3 weeks after we agree the design, due to :-

Processing the wood to size​

Wood drying time (allowing residual moisture to evaporate after processing, this prevents the wood from twisting and cracking)

Cutting, gluing, carving, resin work, sanding, finishing etc.

At every major milestone we can send a photo showing you the progress and evolution of your item​

Upon completion we will send a few photos to show the finished item, after which we can arrange postage or collection
